North Belfast DUP MLA Phillip Brett has described the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) decision not to prosecute anyone for damaging the portrait of former DUP Lord Mayor Wallace Browne in Belfast City Hall as a "shame and disgrace."

Mr Brett said the failure to trace or prove the damage due to absent CCTV and a lack of admissible evidence "makes a mockery of justice."

The MLA is demanding that both the First Minister and the Chief Whip give a detailed public account of the incident and called on Sinn Féin to publish their internal report, noting that serious questions remain about accountability and potential anti-Semitism as a motive.
