Executive Reaffirms Commitment To Ending Violence Against Women and Girls
The Northern Ireland Executive has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling all forms of gender-based violence, abuse, and harm as part of the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
The Executive acknowledged the scale of the challenge: "Violence against women and girls is one of the most pressing challenges facing our society." The statement confirmed that the Executive remains committed to:
• Driving cultural and systemic change.
• Working with partners across government, communities, and voluntary sectors to stop violence before it starts.
The Executive stated its unity in its goal "to create a changed society where women and girls are free from all forms of gender-based violence, abuse and harm, including the attitudes, systems and structural inequalities that perpetuate them."
