Major Recruitment Drive Launches At Belfast International Airport

Belfast International Airport, a key hub in the VINCI Airports network, has announced its first major recruitment event of 2026. The job fair is designed to bolster staffing levels ahead of an expected surge in passenger numbers during the upcoming summer months.

The event will be held on Saturday 31st January at the Voco Hotel in Belfast's Gasworks district, running from 11am to 3pm. Representatives from the airport and a variety of its on-site partners—including Swissport, Wilson James, Mount Charles, Airport Taxi company, Pret, and Mitie—will be present to meet potential candidates, discuss specific roles, and outline available salary and benefit packages.

There are currently more than 100 vacancies to be filled, with a mix of full-time, part-time, and seasonal contracts. Opportunities are available across several sectors, including: Ground Handling; Security; Retail; Driving; and Catering.

This hiring initiative is a core part of the airport's ongoing £100 million investment strategy. With the first phase—which delivered a new security building, arrivals hall, and duty-free area—now finished, the airport is shifting its focus to the airside Departures area. This next stage involves a significant overhaul of the food and beverage facilities and the introduction of new retail outlets.

Jaclyn Coulter, Human Resources Manager at Belfast International Airport, commented: "In order to support our wider transformation programme our airport partners are looking for a wide variety of roles available with attractive salaries and benefits. The Airport offers an exciting work environment and there are plenty of options to carve out a long-term career path within the travel and aviation sector."

Prospective employees are invited to attend the fair to seek guidance from recruitment specialists and have their questions answered directly. For those unable to attend, further details on all current vacancies are available via the official website at www.belfastairport.com.
