Woman Named Following Fatal Single-Vehicle Collision in Cookstown

The PSNI has confirmed the identity of a woman who lost her life following a road traffic collision in Cookstown on Wednesday, 11 February.

She has been named as Ann Marshall, a resident of the Moneymore area.

The incident, which involved a single vehicle, occurred on the Moneymore Road. Emergency services were alerted to the scene during the morning commute. Detective Inspector Stewart of the Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit provided details on the initial response: "We received a report at approximately 7.30am of a one vehicle collision involving a red Seat Ateca on the Moneymore Road. Officers attended the scene together with colleagues from our partner agencies. Tragically, Ann was pronounced deceased at the scene."

The Moneymore Road was cordoned off for several hours to allow specialist officers to carry out a thorough investigation of the site, but the route has since been reopened to traffic.

Police are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash and are seeking assistance from the public. Detective Inspector Stewart added: "Our enquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, or has any mobile phone or dash cam footage which could assist us, to get in touch."

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision

A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
