Tesco bundles broadband into shoppers' trolly

High street and shopping mall retailer Tesco has become the latest company to offer an "unlimited" full broadband package that is easy for customers to understand.

The latest offer from Tesco pitches a broadband connection into the ring for £19.97 - a with a service that Tesco claims is "the cheapest full 512k service on offer in the UK from any service provider".

Partnered in the deal by communications company NTL, the uncapped broadband service from Tesco Telecom is billed as family friendly as it is the kids who often download large video files and play video games online.

Connection and an ADSL modem are provided free and the package includes support for 30 days. Users earn Clubcard points and the retailer hopes that there will be crossover between the firm's various on-line offerings and communications deals provided by the Tesco Telecoms division.

The Tesco Broadband CD is available from 700 stores nationwide or by signing up online at the Tesco website.
