Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Dunmurry
The PSNI has confirmed that a man in his 50s has lost his life following a road traffic collision in Dunmurry on Sunday morning, 8 March.
The incident, which involved a motorcycle, occurred in the Queensway area at approximately 7.30am. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.
Emergency services attended the scene; however, the motorcyclist was tragically pronounced deceased at the location. The road was closed for a period to allow for emergency access and initial investigations but has since been fully reopened to traffic.
Detective Inspector Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit said: "Police received a report of a collision involving a motorcycle in the Queensway area at approximately 7.30am this morning, Sunday 8th March.
"Officers attended alongside colleagues from other emergency services. Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
"The road which was closed for a time to facilitate emergency services access has now fully reopened.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage of what happened is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 414 08/03/26."
