Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Dunmurry
The PSNI has confirmed that a man in his 50s has lost his life following a road traffic collision in Dunmurry on Sunday morning, 8 March.
The incident, which involved a motorcycle, occurred in the Queensway area at approximately 7.30am. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.
Emergency services attended the scene; however, the motorcyclist was tragically pronounced deceased at the location. The road was closed for a period to allow for emergency access and initial investigations but has since been fully reopened to traffic. Detective Inspector Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit said: "Police received a report of a collision involving a motorcycle in the Queensway area at approximately 7.30am this morning, Sunday 8th March.
"Officers attended alongside colleagues from other emergency services. Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
"The road which was closed for a time to facilitate emergency services access has now fully reopened.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage of what happened is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 414 08/03/26."

Tributes have been paid to Northern Ireland motorcycle racer William Dunlop, who was killed following a crash during the Skerries 100 road race in Dublin. The 32-year-old Ballymoney rider was competing in an Open practice session when he crashed and later died from his injuries on Saturday, 07 July.

Police have named a 42-year-old man who died after a road accident on the M2 near Belfast on Monday afternoon. Eamon Farrelly from Belfast was involved in the three-vehicle collision at the Dunsilly off-slip on the northbound lane while riding his motorcycle. He was taken to hospital after the collision on Monday afternoon.

It is thought the accident occurred when a motorcyclist collided with a telegraph pole on the Dungonnell Road in Crumlin this morning. No other vehicles were involved.

Victor Gilmore, 42, from Ballymoney was critically injured after he came off his bike at around 1.20pm on Sunday. The Irish police said he was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, but was then pronounced dead.
