Victim Named In Enniskillen Murder Investigation
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Major Investigation Team have named the woman who died in Enniskillen on Saturday 7th March as Ellie Flanagan.
The 23-year-old was discovered deceased at a property in the Corban Avenue area. Officers found her while conducting enquiries into a road traffic collision that occurred on the Carn Road near Tempo at approximately 9.15pm that same evening.
A 45-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder and other linked offences, remains in police custody. As of Monday afternoon, 9th March, investigators have been granted an additional 36 hours to interview him.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Robinson said: "Our thoughts are firmly with Ellie's family and loved ones at this very distressing time.
"Our team continues to work at pace to establish the circumstances surrounding Ellie's death and to determine exactly what happened. "I would reiterate our appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist us, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1564 07/03/26. Any detail, no matter how small, could prove crucial to our investigation.
"We urge anyone who was travelling on the Cornagrade Road into Corban Avenue between 6.30pm and 10.45pm on Saturday evening and noticed anything out of the ordinary, or suspicious, to make contact with us.
"The local community will continue to see a police presence in the Corban Avenue area over the coming days, as our investigation develops."
The police have requested that any photos or footage, including CCTV, mobile phone, or dash cam recordings, be shared via the Major Incident Public Portal. Information can also be provided through the non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man Extradited From Republic of Ireland to Face 1979 Murder Charge
A 67-year-old man, accused of the murder of Joseph James Porter in Armagh in 1979, has been extradited from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland. The man was arrested in the Republic of Ireland on 24th June 2024, on suspicion of the murder of Mr Porter, which occurred in Armagh on the same date in 1979.
