Police Appeal Following Assault on Teenage Girl in West Belfast
Police in west Belfast are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault that occurred on Monday, 30th March.
The incident was reported shortly after 8:30 pm at the junction of Bernagh Drive and Glen Road. It was reported that a teenage girl was assaulted by a male at the location. A member of the public intervened during the incident, and an 18-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has since been released on bail as police enquiries continue.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault. They are particularly interested in identifying and speaking to the member of the public who intervened.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 2040 of 31/03/26.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Charged After Assault On Ambulance Worker
A 30-year-old man has been charged with assault on a police designated person, assaulting an ambulance worker, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and attempting theft of a vehicle. He is scheduled to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday, 7th April.
