PSNI to Provide Vital Support and Advice at 2026 Balmoral Show

The Balmoral Show is set to return to the Eikon Exhibition Centre this week, running from Wednesday 13 May to Saturday 16 May 2026. Representatives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) will be in attendance throughout the four-day event to provide a wide range of support and advice to the rural and farming communities.

Visitors can find the PSNI at the Supporting Safer Communities marquee, which will host Crime Prevention Officers, Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Armed Response Units, and the Roads Education Unit. For those interested in a career in law enforcement, HR recruitment specialists will also be on hand to discuss opportunities within the service.

Chief Superintendent Kelly Moore commented on the event: "The Balmoral Show is a key date in the calendar for many in our rural and agricultural communities and making sure it is a safe and enjoyable experience for all is a priority for us in the Police Service of Northern Ireland. We will be assisting with traffic flow to and from the Eikon to ensure it is as hassle-free as possible, however with very large numbers expected over all four days, those travelling should anticipate that their journey may take longer than usual and leave some extra time to allow for likely delays."

The police are urging attendees to be patient and to drive and park responsibly. Drivers are asked to follow the instructions of officers and parking marshals on the ground and to use only designated parking areas. Additionally, organisers have reminded patrons and vendors that the use of drones is strictly prohibited on the site.

Highlighting the engagement opportunities at the show, Chief Superintendent Moore added: "We want everyone attending this year's show to enjoy a safe and memorable experience. Come along to the Supporting Safer Communities marquee and talk to us to hear more about the work we do to tackle issues which directly impact upon our rural communities – and you may even meet some of our amazing Police Dogs and their handlers! We look forward to seeing you there."
