Police Issue Digital Appeal Following Carrickfergus Stabbing

Detectives investigating a stabbing incident in Carrickfergus are continuing to appeal to the public for information.

The incident occurred in the Rodgers Quay area of the town at approximately 7.30pm on Wednesday 27 May.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have launched a dedicated digital platform to gather evidence. Members of the public can now submit any photographs or video footage, including CCTV, mobile phone recordings, or dashcam footage, directly to the police via the Major Incident Public Portal at mipp.police.uk/operation/PSNI26W10-PO1.

Alternatively, information can be provided completely anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or by submitting a report online at crimestoppers-uk.org/.

Major Incident Public Portal Open In John George Disappearance
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is assisting Spanish authorities in their search for a 37-year-old Belfast man who went missing while on holiday. John George, also known as John Hardy, was reported missing on 18th December. It is understood that he was last in contact with his family in Belfast on 14 December.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Appeal Following Racially Motivated Hate Crime In Castlereagh
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a racially motivated hate crime in Castlereagh on the evening of Sunday, 11 August. At around 7.15pm, a man was walking in a park near Manse Road when he was approached by six young people, who shouted abuse and intimidated him.

11-Year-Old Girl Dies After Castledawson Collision
An 11-year-old girl has tragically died after being struck by a car on Hillhead Road, outside Castledawson, on the afternoon of Wednesday 05 March. The incident occurred shortly after 4pm as the girl exited a school bus.

Further Race-Related Hate Crime Takes Place In Belfast
Police dealt with a number of race-related hate crime, incidents and disorder last night (8 August) in south and east Belfast. In south Belfast, car was set on fire and a window of a house was broken into on Benburb Street. Windows of a house were also smashed in Kilburn Street.
