Police Appeal Following Serious Assault on Falls Road
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a serious assault occurred in west Belfast on the morning of Sunday 7 June.
At around 2.15am, officers received a report concerning a man who had sustained a head injury in the Falls Road area. The nature of his wounds was consistent with having been assaulted.
Members of the Police Service of Northern Ireland attended the scene alongside crews from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The injured man was transported to hospital for medical treatment, and his condition has been described as serious at this time.
Following the incident, a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He currently remains in police custody. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone who was present in the vicinity at the time to come forward. Investigators are particularly keen to review any CCTV, dashcam, or other footage that could aid their enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police by calling 101, quoting the reference number 178 07/06/26.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault on a man in south Belfast. A man, aged in his 40s, is being treated in hospital after he was "brutally" assaulted inside a lift at Hartington Court off the Dublin Road, according to the police.

Police have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in north Belfast. A man is being treated in hospital after he was reportedly beaten by a number of men at a house on meadow Grove. According to police a number of masked me forced their way into the property and proceeded to beat the victim with suspected metal bars.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
