Kimmins Condemns Second Night Of 'Racist Violence'
A Department for Infrastructure depot at Sandyknowes, outside Belfast, was broken into and a vehicle set alight, prompting further disruption to services and early business closures.
Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins condemned a second consecutive night of racist violence following the incident at the Department's site near Belfast.
Minister Kimmins said: "We are seeing another night of destruction and disruption, and this behaviour needs to be condemned in the strongest possible way.
"It is racism, it is intimidation and absolute thuggery.
"These acts serve no-one and only cause harm and fear within communities. It is disgraceful and disgusting.
"I utterly condemn the incident at my Department's depot in Sandyknowes and the further disruption we have seen with transport services suspended and businesses closing early.
"I thank the Police for their response and I reiterate the calls for this violence to stop."

Holywood Councillor Condemns Racist Graffiti On Seafront
Alliance councillor Martin McRandal has denounced those responsible after racist messages were daubed on Holywood's seafront, saying they do not reflect local views. The graffiti appeared on the promenade and sea wall along the shoreline. Councillor McRandal said it was not representative of the vast majority of people in the town.
