Appeal for Information Following Viable Pipe Bomb in L'Derry
Detectives are appealing for information from the public following a report of a pipe bomb-type device discovered on a vehicle in the Nelson Drive area of the Waterside in Derry/Londonderry.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, prompting a multi-agency response to secure the residential zone.
Detective Inspector Connolly said: "It was reported that a loud bang was heard in the housing area around 12.30am. It was discovered that a car window was broken and a pipe bomb-type device was found on the windscreen.
