Traffic And Travel Advice Ahead Of Zach Bryan Concerts

Concert-goers and motorists advised of extensive travel restrictions around Boucher Playing Fields this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Motorists and residents are being alerted to anticipated traffic disruption in the vicinity of Boucher Playing Fields this Tuesday, 23 June, and Wednesday, 24 June, due to the upcoming Zach Bryan concerts. Travel restrictions and closures will be active in the area between 5pm and midnight on both evenings.

A series of road closures have been scheduled for both nights to manage the flow of traffic:

• From 5pm until midnight, the stretch from Shanes Retail Park to Boucher Road will be restricted to a single lane of traffic.

• Between 9pm and midnight, Stockmans Lane to Tates Avenue will be entirely closed.

• Between 9pm and midnight, Stockmans Lane to the M1 junction will be completely closed.

• Between 9pm and midnight, the M1 off-slip lanes at Stockmans Lane will be fully closed.

• From 5pm until midnight, Lislea Drive at the Lisburn Road junction will be closed.

• From 5pm until midnight, Lislea Avenue (off the Lisburn Road) will be closed.

Access to Balmoral Road and onward to the concert venue from the Lisburn Road via Lislea Avenue, the railway bridge, and the pedestrian walkway will be unavailable during both the ingress and egress phases of the event.

Signposted diversions will be operational throughout the event. Dedicated accessible parking is located on Balmoral Road, which is also the designated parking zone for coaches. Coaches parked in this area will be required to remain stationary until permitted to depart. Furthermore, no designated pick-up or drop-off zones will be available within the cordoned road closure area.

Superintendent Allister Hagan has reminded attendees to show consideration for local residents and businesses, especially when exiting the venue at the end of the night.

"We want everyone attending the concerts to have a great night, to stay safe, and remember these events for all the right reasons.

"Please act responsibly, stay with your friends and look after one another – and if you need help during the evening speak with event staff or the police."
