Man Dies After Motorcycle And Lorry Collision Near Markethill

A man has died after a collision between a motorcycle and a lorry on Coolmillish Road in Markethill, County Armagh, on Friday, 10 July.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage as their investigation continues.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed the fatality following the two-vehicle crash. The incident was reported late on Friday morning and the road, which was closed for a period, has since reopened.

Detective Inspector Stewart, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Police received a report at around 11.40am of a collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry in the Coolmillish Road area of Markethill.

"Officers, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, attended. However, sadly the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The Coolmillish Road, which was closed for a time, has since reopened.

"Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information which could assist with our investigation – including dash-cam or other footage – contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 602 of 10/07/26."

A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

Motorcyclist Killed In Antrim Road Crash
A motorcyclist has been killed following a road crash in County Antrim. The 37-year-old has been named as Alan Kelso from the Antrim area. It is thought the accident occurred when a motorcyclist collided with a telegraph pole on the Dungonnell Road in Crumlin this morning. No other vehicles were involved.
