£225,000 Resurfacing To Upgrade A32 Cornagrade Road In Enniskillen
Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has announced a £225,000 carriageway resurfacing programme for the A32 Cornagrade Road in Enniskillen.
Covering the section between Queen Elizabeth Roundabout and Erne Drive, the project is scheduled to start on Friday 31 July 2026 and will include 460 metres of resurfacing alongside drainage improvements.
Minister Kimmins said: "This substantial investment of £225,000 for the A32 Cornagrade Road will deliver significant benefits for road users in Enniskillen. This demonstrates my commitment to investing in and improving our road network, which is vital for connecting our businesses and communities. I would like to thank residents, local businesses and commuters for their patience while this essential infrastructure work is carried out."
To enable the works to be delivered safely, the A32 Cornagrade Road will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the scheme. A signed diversion will route traffic from the A32 Queen Elizabeth Roundabout via Queen Elizabeth Road, Belmore Street, Forthill Street, Irvinestown Road and Cherrymount Road, and vice versa. Local diversions will also operate for non-HGV traffic.
Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained throughout.
The Department has scheduled operations and traffic management to minimise disruption; however, some delays are expected. Road users are advised to allow extra time for journeys near the works and to comply with all temporary traffic measures.
Subject to favourable weather, substantial completion is expected by Friday 14 August 2026. Any changes will be communicated by the Department.
