Police Renew Appeal For Missing Belfast Man Two Years After He Vanished
Detectives in Belfast have renewed their appeal for information on the second anniversary of the disappearance of high-risk missing person Jason Hughes, who is 27.
Detective Sergeant Faulkner said: "27-year-old Jason was first reported missing to police in August 2024, but had not been seen by his family since Friday 26th April 2024.
"Jason is known to have links to the Belfast area and we are appealing to the public to please look at the image of Jason and let us know if you recognise him, have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts. "Jason is described as being approximately 5ft 4 inches tall, of slim build, with short fair/ blonde hair and blue eyes.
"I am also appealing directly to Jason to make contact with Police, family or friends so that we know you are safe and well.
"Anyone with any information on Jason's whereabouts, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please make contact with detectives on 101 and quote reference 830 of 03/08/24."

A five-day Police Service of Northern Ireland road safety crackdown has detected 2,132 speeding drivers, alongside 308 further traffic offences. Operation Lifesaver, which ran from 27 to 31 July, uncovered multiple cases of motorists travelling at twice and even three times the limit.

Detectives are appealing for information after suspected gunshot damage was caused to a house in the Galliagh area of L'Derry. Police believe the incident occurred at a property in Ederowen Park at around 11pm on Sunday, 2 August. No one was inside the house at the time and no injuries have been reported.

Ards and North Down Borough Council has installed 14 new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at Council buildings across the Borough, each housed in an externally mounted cabinet to provide round-the-clock public access. A further two existing AEDs have been moved to outdoor cabinets so they can be reached outside normal opening hours.
