Police Appeal After Suspected Gunshot Damages House In L'Derry
Detectives are appealing for information after suspected gunshot damage was caused to a house in the Galliagh area of L'Derry.
Police believe the incident occurred at a property in Ederowen Park at around 11pm on Sunday, 2 August. No one was inside the house at the time and no injuries have been reported.
The damage was identified on Tuesday, 4 August, as officers carried out enquiries linked to an ongoing investigation. Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area and noticed anything unusual or suspicious, or who has relevant footage, to contact them via reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals, quoting reference number 1397 of 04/08/26, or by calling 101. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org/.

Oil tank fire damages homes
A fire has caused damage to a number of properties in north Belfast. It is understood that the fire spread from an oil tank at the rear of a house in Alliance Avenue at around 7am today. The fuel is understood to have flowed from the backyard and then spread to another property in Stratford Gardens, which backs onto the house.

Petrol Bomb Damages House In Belfast
A house in south Belfast has been left damaged following a petrol bomb attack. Police said the device was thrown at the front door of a property in Agra Street at around 9.20pm on Tuesday. A window to the property suffered minor scorch damage. It is thought a brick was also thrown at the house, smashing a window.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
