Two Men Held After Cannabis Factory Uncovered In Larne
Police in Mid and East Antrim have arrested two men on drugs-related offences after discovering a cannabis factory in Larne.
Officers attended a property in the Millbrook area following a report at around 9.20am of suspected cannabis plants. A subsequent search of the address confirmed the presence of the plants. Two men, both aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and using a motor vehicle without insurance. They remain in police custody at this time.
Targeting drugs supply is a priority for the Police Service of Northern Ireland. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information that could assist is asked to call the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 354 of 13/08/26.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.

HMRC is urging parents of 16 to 19-year-olds to confirm by 31 August if their teenager will remain in approved education or training, or Child Benefit payments will stop automatically. More than 372,000 families have already updated their claim online via the HMRC app or GOV.UK.
