Man arrested following drugs seizure in south Belfast

A man has been arrested after a quantity of drugs were seized by police in south Belfast on Tuesday.

An estimated 2,000 Ecstasy tablets, four 'nine' bars of Cannabis resin worth over £2,000 each, and quantities of crack cocaine and speed were uncovered during a routine vehicle stop in the Holylands area of south Belfast just after midnight.

A man in his thirties has been arrested for possession of class A & B drugs and possession with intent to supply.

Three men arrested in separate drugs finds
Three men have been arrested following separate drugs finds in Belfast and Co. Londonderry on Monday. A 38-year-old man was arrested following the discovery of drugs, worth an estimated £50,000, in east Belfast. He was subsequently charged with being in possession cannabis with intent to supply following the drugs seizure at Garnerville.

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.

The PSNI joined forces with South Wales Police and arrested a 27-year-old man over suspected drugs offences following a search. The man was taken back to NI and charged over the supply of Diazepam and Xanax.
