Game Academy Connects Gamers With Employers
Game Academy, an impact venture, helps video game players convert the abilities they develop in games into real-world careers. Many gamers demonstrate strong technical aptitude but have limited ways to showcase it outside gaming, and the organisation exists to close that gap.
It is currently supporting a cohort in Northern Ireland — care-experienced and high-performing in-game — and is seeking to introduce them, free of charge to employers, to businesses willing to provide employment, work placements, job shadowing or other career-building opportunities.

New Game Of Thrones Studio Tour 'Game-Changing Tourist Attraction'
A new Game of Thrones Studio Tour has been described as a "game-changing tourist attraction" by Economy Minister Gordon Lyons. The Minister visited the television show attraction at Linen Mill Studios, Banbridge during a global media preview event, ahead of the tour opening to the public later this week.

Linfield knocked out of Uefa Cup
All-Ireland champions Linfield have been sent crashing out of this year's Uefa Cup following a 4-2 defeat (5-3 on aggregate) to Halmstads of Sweden at Windsor Park. David Jeffrey's men went into Thursday's game full of hope after securing a 1-1 draw in the opening away leg two weeks ago.

NI handed ‘dose of reality’ following Canada defeat
Northern Ireland were handed a “dose of reality” last night following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Canada. The only goal of the game came on 32 minutes when Canadian striker Olivier Occean took advantage of some poor marking to head home.
