PSNI Acknowledges Failings In 2016 Indecent Exposure Probe After Ombudsman Report

The Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland (PONI) has found that the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s 2016 investigation into an allegation of indecent exposure against Jonathan Creswell was inadequate and failed the victim.

The PSNI said the actions of the officers involved did not meet the expectations of the organisation or the victim.

The Service reiterated its commitment to a victim-centred approach and to learning from cases where investigative processes have fallen short.

It added that it will continue to co-operate fully with PONI in relation to any complaint.
