The Police Service of Northern Ireland has issued an appeal to trace Anderson, who did not come back to custody after being granted day release on Monday. He has not returned to prison or been apprehended.

Anderson is approximately 5ft 11in tall, of slim build, with brown hair. He was sentenced to 15 years for murder in 2023.

Officers have appealed directly to Gary to hand himself in. Members of the public are advised not to approach him. Anyone who has seen him, or who knows of his whereabouts, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 555 of 14/09/26.

Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100 per cent anonymous.
