Stairlift Solutions Opens New Maydown Showroom to Serve the North West

Stairlift Solutions has officially opened a new stairlift and mobility showroom in Maydown, Derry, extending its product range and advisory services to customers across the North West.

Situated at 15A Carrakeel Drive, Maydown Industrial Estate, the showroom allows visitors to view mobility equipment in person and consult with the Stairlift Solutions team regarding their specific requirements.

The company states the facility is the first dedicated showroom of its type in the city, representing a major expansion phase for the business within the regional market.

Operating for 25 years, Stairlift Solutions focuses on supporting customer independence, comfort, and home mobility, supplying a range of equipment designed for indoor and outdoor use.

The Maydown facility displays a variety of products, including straight and curved stairlifts, rise-and-recline chairs, mobility scooters, and powered wheelchairs. The setup allows customers and their families to examine products directly, ask technical questions, and assess available options prior to purchase.

Danielle McAllister, Sales and Office Administrator at Stairlift Solutions, said the company's aim is to help people regain independence, whether that means getting back upstairs at home or being able to get out into the community independently.

“We sell mobility equipment to help people gain their independence,” she said, adding that the range includes stairlifts, wheelchairs and powered wheelchairs, alongside other equipment intended to help people become more independent at home and outside.

She also said customers visiting the showroom can expect a friendly approach from staff who are focused on helping people find equipment suited to their needs, rather than simply selling products.

Ted Lynch, Branch Manager at Stairlift Solutions, highlighted significant demand for mobility services across the North West, describing the Maydown site as the only facility of its kind operating west of the Bann.

Following its official opening event on 17 August, the business outlined its survey and installation processes. According to Stairlift Solutions, an engineer conducts initial staircase measurements, with straight stairlifts typically installed within one to two days, while custom curved installations require additional lead time.

The company provides 24-hour engineer support for stairlift maintenance, with product warranties available from six months up to five years.
