Police Appeal After Suspected Arson On Crumlin Road
Police in north Belfast are appealing for information and witnesses following a suspected arson in the Crumlin Road area on Monday, 21 September.
At around 8.40pm, part of a vacant building was reported to be on fire. The blaze is believed to have been started deliberately.
Officers attended alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, and the road was closed for a short period while the fire was extinguished. There were no reports of any injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone who was in the area at the time and observed anything suspicious, or who may have information, CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist, is asked to contact police via the witness appeal form at reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals quoting reference 1678 21/09/26, or call 101.

Glens of Antrim Potatoes Ltd has entered administration, with the company’s 95 employees made redundant following the appointment of joint administrators. Stuart Irwin, Ian Leonard and Robin Coughlin of Interpath were appointed joint administrators to the company on 21 September 2026.
