Fibrus Names Women’s Aid As 2026/27 Charity Partner
Fibrus has announced Women's Aid as its chosen charity partner for 2026/27, pledging support for efforts to tackle domestic abuse affecting women and children across Northern Ireland and England.
Reflecting its operations in both regions, the company will work with Women's Aid Federation Northern Ireland and Women's Aid Federation of England. Women's Aid, through its specialist networks, underpins life-saving services for survivors and delivers research, training, campaigning and policy expertise to improve responses to domestic abuse, ensuring survivors' voices are central.
During the year-long partnership, Fibrus staff will take part in fundraising, volunteering and awareness activities, alongside practical projects and community programmes. Dedicated awareness and learning sessions aim to deepen understanding of domestic abuse and the critical services provided by Women's Aid, fostering a culture where people feel informed and empowered to act.
Fundraising is already underway, with more than £7,000 collected over the summer through a series of activities. Further events and challenges are planned, with teams across Fibrus set to continue supporting Women's Aid and generating vital funds. Linda McMillan, Chief People Officer at Fibrus, said: "We're proud to be partnering with Women's Aid Federation of England and Women's Aid Northern Ireland through supporting the vital work they do across Northern Ireland and England. With a substantial amount already raised, our fundraising efforts are off to a great start, but this partnership is about much more than fundraising. It's about building awareness, encouraging open conversations and giving our people the opportunity to support an organisation doing such important work in our communities."
Karen Devlin, Membership Services & Support Officer, Women's Aid Federation Northern Ireland, said: "Women's Aid Federation NI are absolutely delighted to be in charity partnership with the amazing team at Fibrus, alongside our sisters at Women's Aid England. Domestic abuse is an issue that, unfortunately, impacts thousands of people every year across our communities. Every year, Fibrus creates thousands of connections for customers across these islands, and we are absolutely delighted to be connecting with the Fibrus team to build awareness, strengthen our communities and working together to help eliminate domestic abuse. We cannot thank the team at Fibrus enough for their incredible support and commitment to helping us create safer communities for everyone."
Lottie Temblett-Wood, Senior Partnerships Officer at Women's Aid Federation of England, said: "We are so grateful to Fibrus for supporting Women's Aid this year. One in three women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, and charity of the year partnerships like this help us reach survivors who might not otherwise know where to turn for support. Working together with Fibrus will contribute to our lifesaving services through their incredible fundraising commitments and we look forward to the year ahead together. Thank you to the team for your contributions so far to supporting survivors of domestic abuse."
The tie-up builds on Fibrus' wider community work; earlier this year the business marked £1 million invested in communities across its footprint in Northern Ireland and England.
