Two houses hit by gunfire in Lurgan
Seven people escaped injury following a gun attack on two houses in Co Armagh on Thursday night.
A number of shots were fired at two houses in the Collingwood Avenue area shortly before 9.30pm. Bullets struck both front doors but no other damage was caused.
A woman and her son were in one of the houses with three teenagers in an adjoining garage, while a couple in their 20’s were in the second house.
Police have appealed for anyone with may have seen two people leaving the scene on a motorcycle to contact them.
Elsewhere overnight, a car has been damaged in an arson attack in Co Down.
The incident occurred in Kinallen, Dromara shortly after midnight on Thursday. A small petrol bomb was found inside the burnt-out vehicle by responding police and fire crews.
Officers say house to house enquires are being carried out in the area to try to establish a motive for the attack.

Bomb Found In Hedgerow In Kells
A bomb has been discovered in a hedgerow in Kells, Co Antrim. The device was found in a plastic bag in a lane just off the Tildarg Road on Thursday afternoon. Bomb experts made the device safe. Four houses also had to be evacuated. The bomb has been taken for forensic examination.

NI house prices continue to rise
The growth in house prices in Northern Ireland has accelerated, according to the latest University of Ulster Quarterly House Price Index. The survey for the quarter April to June 2004 revealed that the overall average price of residential property reached a new high of £112,806, up 4.7% on the first quarter of the year.

Maghaberry Prison Officers Return To Work
A number of prison officers have returned to work at Maghaberry Prison, Co Antrim, after initially refusing to start work this morning, 04 November. According to the BBC, around 80 staff were involved in the industrial action. They were due to commence work between 7.30am and 8am, but held a meeting instead.
