Pregnant mother-of-three assaulted

Police are appealing for information after a pregnant mother-of-three was assaulted at her home in Co Antrim on Wednesday.

The woman, who is four-months pregnant, was in the living room of her Ballymoney home when three masked men walked in through the open front door at 10pm and proceeded to grab her by the throat before warning her to get out of town.

The men then punched the woman on the head and face before stealing her mobile phone. Her two children, who were upstairs throughout her ordeal, were not hurt.

Family escape serious injury in petrol bomb attack
Police are appealing for information following a petrol bomb attack in Co Tyrone last night that hospitalised a pregnant woman. The incident which occurred at a house at Avery Park, Newtownstewart on Sunday evening, led to a pregnant woman, a man and two young children being treated for smoke inhalation.

Minister welcomes launch of emergency procedures leaflet
NIO Minister Angela Smith has welcomed today's Home Office announcement that every home in Northern Ireland is to receive a leaflet informing them of what to do in the event of an emergency.
