Man injured in pipe bomb attack
A man has been injured following a pipe bomb attack in Co Armagh on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old victim was caught up in the blast which occurred outside his home in the Tyross Gardens area of Armagh city at around 10.40pm.
The device, which was placed on the windowsill of a hallway window outside the ground floor flat, went off as the victim slept in his bed.
Substantial damage was caused to the window and smoke and shrapnel damage was caused to the hallway of the flat by the blast.
An initial examination of the scene has been carried out and a number of items removed for forensic examination.
It is understood possibly three people who were wearing masks were seen in the area prior to or just after the blast occurred.
Detectives in Armagh said they would like to speak to anyone who may have noticed any vehicles in the area acting suspiciously around the time of the blast by contacting them on 028 3752 3311 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Security Contractor Killed In Iraq
A security contractor working in Iraq has been killed in a roadside bombing. Ray Moore, 40, from Tandragee in County Armagh, was killed when a bomb blast hit the armoured vehicle he was travelling in. Mr Moore had won an award from the Royal Humane Society for assisting in the rescue of American troops injured in a suicide bombing.

Man Charged Over Burglaries
A man, aged 31, has been charged with a number of burglaries and hijackings. The offences occurred in the south Armagh area on 20 December 2013. He was charged with attempted burglary, three counts of burglary, two counts of hijacking and criminal damage. He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on 9 July.

Shots fired at east Belfast interface
Police have reported that shots were fired from the nationalist Short Strand into Cluan Place during disturbances in east Belfast last night. After about two hours of sporadic street violence, a gunman fired six shots through a gap in the 'peace-line' wall in the Clandeboye area of the Short Strand.

A man has died in a car crash in County Armagh, according to the police. The accident occurred on the Monaghan Road at Madden on Monday night. The emergency services were alerted at 22.40pm. The 26-year-old was driving a Toyota Supra which crashed into a hedge. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
