Buses damaged in Ballymena depot

Five teenagers have been arrested in connection with the incident but have been released pending further inquiries.

Translink district manager Sam Todd said that although such instances of vandalism were rare he “vigorously condemned” today’s attacks.

"We were able to rely on the resources of neighbouring bus stations this morning so that no services were affected,” Mr Todd said.

"We would like to commend the PSNI for acting so promptly and we are currently assisting them with their enquiries."
