Man dies following road traffic collision

A man has died following a road traffic collision in Co Tyrone on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old victim, named as Martin Thomas O'Hagan from Greencastle, was initially injured during a collision between a van and car on the Greencastle Road at around 3pm. He later died in hospital.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact detectives in Omagh on 028 8224 6177.

Elsewhere, police in Lurgan are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision at the junction of Sloan Street and Union Street in the town.

A grey Renault Megane and a maroon coloured Peugeot 206 Estate were involved in the collision at around 2pm on Tuesday.

A woman and an elderly man were taken to hospital. There were no other persons in either of the vehicles.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not yet spoken with police to contact detectives on 028 3832 5144.

BCC Welcomes Conviction Of Belfast Man For Dog Attack
Belfast City Council (BCC) has welcomed the conviction of a man at Belfast Magistrates Court for an offence involving a dog attack on a woman. BCC brought the prosecution against 43-year-old Stuart Grace, of Forthriver Crescent, Belfast, following a report that Mr Grace’s German Shepherd dog had attacked a woman, injuring her arm and back.

Belfast Man Handed Two-Year Stalking Protection Order
The PSNI have welcomed a two-year Stalking Protection Order (SPO) handed down to a 46-year-old Belfast man at Belfast Magistrates Court. The man had been found guilty of stalking and harassing his 50-year-old female ex-partner.
