Armed robbers target shopping centre
Police are appealing for information following a robbery in a Co Armagh shopping centre on Wednesday.
Two members of staff working for a cash delivery firm were left badly shaken during the incident in Craigavon at about 6.15pm, when they were approached by a man, described as being between 6ft 2ins and 6ft 4ins, wearing a white boiler suit, a mask and carrying a gun.
The robber ordered one of the victim’s to drop the box which he then took before fleeing the scene in a car driven by a second man.
The getaway vehicle was a metallic grey Ford Mondeo with a child's sunvisor on the rear passenger side window.
The driver is described as being aged in his late 20s to early 30s with cropped light coloured hair and was wearing a blue or grey shirt.

Man Suffers Head Injury In Belfast Assault
A man has suffered a head injury after being attacked by four men in the Friendly Street area of south Belfast. The incident happened at around 7pm on Wednesday 09 January. The victim, aged in his 20's, has been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives in L'Derry are appealing for information following an armed robbery that on the evening of Saturday 11 January in the Park Avenue area. At about 20:40, two males entered a commercial premises and demanded money. One of the robbers was armed with a wheel brace. The pair made off with a sum of cash in the direction of Upper Nassau Street.

Asteroid on possible collision course with Earth
A potential asteroid impact on the Earth has been predicted by a leading Belfast-based academic. Dr Alan Fitzsimmons of Queen’s University, Belfast revealed that the asteroid, known as 2003 QQ47, could hit the Earth on 21 March 2014. The impact has been given a Torino hazard rating of 1, defined as ‘an event meriting careful monitoring’.
