Police in ATM robbery appeal
Police have appealed for information following a robbery outside an ATM machine in north Belfast on Thursday.
Shortly before 3pm two cash-in-transit employees were approached outside an ATM machine on the Cavehill Road by a man armed with a machete.
The robber stole the cash box containing a sum of money and ran off, before getting into a dark coloured Ford Mondeo car which was later found abandoned at Slyvan Street in the lower Oldpark area.
It is understood that the employees didn’t sustain any injuries but were said to be shocked and shaken as a result of the ordeal.
The robber is described as being around 20-years-old, slim to medium build and around 5’7” in height. He wore a light grey hooded top with a dust mask over his face.
Anyone who has any information about the robbery or who saw a Ford Mondeo car acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident is urged to contact detectives at Antrim Road on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Appeal Issued After Spate Of Robberies In Coleraine
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a number of report of thefts in the Coleraine area. Police received a report that overnight on Friday, 24 February, someone had gained to a property in the Knockaduff Road area, taking away a scrambler motorbike and helmets.
