Suspect package examined at Armagh school

Army technical officers have declared a suspect package discovered at a secondary school in Armagh a hoax.

The headmaster of St Brigid's High School had found the suspect device attached to a window at the school. The police were called and the area was cordoned off.

The school's 300 pupils were told not to attend today and the school was closed due to the hoax.

Motorists were also asked to avoid the Windmill Hill area of Armagh while the suspect package was examined.
