Antrim family targeted in petrol bomb attack

An Antrim family have escaped injury in a petrol bomb attack early this morning.

Flammable liquid was poured through the letterbox of the house at Renown Court at about 4am. A woman and her two children were inside the house at the time.

The woman, who was downstairs with a friend at the time of the attack, revealed that her children were asleep in bed when the incident occurred but couldn't understand why her house had been targeted.

The fire caused minor scorch damage to the front door of the property.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
