Fire crews deal with over 300 Hallowe'en incidents
The Fire and Rescue Service has dealt with over 300 Hallowe'en incidents across Northern Ireland, it confirmed today.
During a 12-hour period from 6pm on Monday, fire crews dealt with 339 incidents compared with last year's figure of 455.
In the most serious incident fireworks were thrown at fire-fighters as they tackled a blaze in Jonesborough, Co Armagh.
In Londonderry around 20 people were arrested for minor offences following festivities in the city.
A spokesperson for the Fire Service said there was also localised areas where they had received a number of calls about bonfires and bins on fire.
