Three men released without charge

Three men arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of North Belfast man Jameson Lockhart have been released without charge.

Mr Lockhart was fatally shot as he sat in a lorry at the junction of Templemore Avenue on the Lower Newtownards Road in east Belfast, in July 2005.

The 25-year-old had been working on the site of the former Avenue One bar, when he was shot dead.

The UVF, which was involved in a feud with the Loyalist Volunteer Force at the time of the shooting, was originally blamed for Mr Lockhart's murder.
