Man bitten outside city centre nightclub
Police in Belfast have appealed for information after a man was seriously assaulted in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened outside a nightclub in the Patterson's Place in the Donegal Square area of south Belfast at around 2.20am.
Police have reported that the victim suffered serious facial injuries after being bitten during the incident.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently being questioned by detectives.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
