Pensioner robbed during aggravated burglary

Police in County Armagh are appealing for information after what police described as an aggravated burglary earlier this morning.

It has been reported that armed robbers entered the house of a 78-year-old man on the Tannaghmore Road in the Markethill area at around 11.20am.

Three men, who were armed with a handgun, demanded money from the pensioner before making off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

The victim was uninjured during the attack, however was left badly shaken by the ordeal.

Downpatrick pensioner robbed in home
Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed in his home in County Down. Two men, one armed with a stick, broke into the 82-year-old man's home in the Killough Road area of Downpatrick at around 6am this morning.
