Duo in court charged with money laundering

Two men arrested in connection with the disappearance of missing Cookstown man Daron McReynolds, are due to appear at court in Dungannon charged with money laundering and deception offences.

The two men, from County Tyrone, were arrested on Tuesday and have been held at the serious crime suite in Antrim for questioning in relation to the murder of the missing man.

Yesterday, police appealed for assistance and information from the public on the whereabouts of Mr McReynolds who went missing five-years-ago.

He was last seen in November 2001 and despite extensive investigations he has never been found.

Due to the length of time he has been missing and the lack of any "routine life activity" police are now treating his disappearance as murder.

At the time of his disappearance, Mr McReynolds was known to drive a white Volkswagen car, registration number GUI 8536, which has also not been seen since.

Police have asked for anyone with any information, which they feel could help them with their investigation, to contact them on 0845 600 800 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
