Post Office robbed in Larne

Police in County Antrim are appealing for information following a robbery at a shop yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened at the La Harna Retail Park in Larne at around 2pm yesterday, when a post office worker called at the premises to collect cash.

As the worker entered the shop, he was approached by a man carrying an iron bar.

The assailant demanded that he hand over the cash box, and then made off in a white coloured Vauxhall Vectra.

A vehicle matching the description of the car was later seen in the Ballyboley Road area of the town with red smoke coming from the interior.

The robber is described as having receding hair, and was wearing sunglasses and a blue coloured hooded top.

Police have said that the robber may be stained with orange dye from the box.

Mr Sanke was last seen in the forest park area on Sunday, 05 December. A post mortem is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Three Men Arrested After Death Of Woman In Ballynahinch
Three men have been arrested following the death of a young woman in Ballynahinch, Co Down. The 20-year-old was found collapsed in a unit of flats in Dromore Street at around 8.30pm on Thursday, 02 December. The three suspects have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. A post mortem is to take place to determine the cause of death.

Two Men Arrested After Knife Held To Man's Throat In Ballymena
Two men have been arrested after a man was awoke from his sleep by intruders who held a knife to his throat and demanded money. The incident happened at a house in the Cardiff Drive area of Ballymena in the early hours of Thursday morning, 09 December. Police described the incident as "distressing".

Appeal Issued Following Shooting Incident In Dungiven
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Dungiven, County L'Derry. According to police, a man was shot in the leg when a number of shots were fired through the front door of a house in the Finvola Park area at around 9pm last night. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact police.
