Belfast man on remand following fatal collision

A Belfast man has been remanded in custody in connection with a car crash in which a 22-year-old man died.

Mark John Page, of Joanmount Park in Belfast appeared in court today on charges of dangerous driving causing death, hijacking, and having an offensive weapon.

Darryl Faulkner, from Ballysillan in North Belfast, was killed in the crash, following a collision with a police Land Rover on the Hightown Road on 11 July. The accident is currently being investigated by the Police Ombudsman.

A defence solicitor has said an application for bail will be lodged with the High Court.

54-Year-Old Arrested Over 1993 UVF Murder
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the 1993 murder of Joseph Reynolds. UVF gunmen ambushed Mr Reynolds van on Sydenham Road as he was driving to work on 12 October 1993. Three others were injured in the attack. The investigation into the murder was reopened last year, with a number of arrests being made.

Weekend road victim named
Police have released the name of a 44-year old man who was killed in a road traffic incident at the weekend. Jim Donaghy, from the Donegal Road area of South Belfast, died after the motorbike he was driving was in collision with a car on Sunday afternoon. The incident happened at around 2.30pm in the Temple area of Carryduff.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Conor McKee
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Conor McKee. Mr McKee was found dead at his home in Glenpark Street in north Belfast on Thursday, 07 January. He had been shot a number of times. The suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast.
