Police appeal after Belfast robbery
Detectives at Castlereagh have appealed for information following a robbery at a Winemark on the Old Milltown Road in Belfast.
At around 8pm last night, two men entered the shop and demanded money, cigarettes and alcohol. They left the scene and police believe they got into a grey car, which made off in the direction of Hydebank.
One of the robbers is described as being about 5’6, 30 years, small to medium build with bad teeth. He was wearing a navy coat with the logo 'BEARMAX' on the front. The second man is described as 6’ tall, slim build and in his twenties. He has sandy coloured hair, cut short and brushed forward and was wearing a white 'Fred Perry' sweatshirt and white Nike trainers which had a blue stripe.
Elsewhere, police are treating as malicious a fire at a flat at Elms Park in Coleraine.
The alarm was raised shortly before 10.30pm last night when the lady living in the flat heard a noise at her front door and a short time later smelt smoke. She got out of bed, climbed out of a ground floor window and raised the alarm.
The living room was fire damaged and the rest of the flat smoke damaged.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
