Three arrested over Bangor assault

Police in County Down have appealed for information following an assault on two men in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened in the Breezemount area of Bangor, when two men were assaulted by a gang of three, as they made their way through the area.

The victims were taken to hospital where they received treatment for head injuries, however they have since been discharged.

A number of houses and cars were also damaged during the incident.

Police have arrested three people in connection with the assaults.

Detectives in Bangor have asked for anyone who may have been in the Breezemount area of Bangor between midnight and 4.30am, and who may have witnessed the attacks, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

Three due in court over Bangor assault
Three men are due to appear at Downpatrick Magistrates Court later today charged with attempted murder. One of the men is also facing charges of aggravated burglary.

Two Men Arrested Following Assault In Armagh
Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault in Armagh on Tuesday, 16 January. Shortly after 2.20pm, it was reported to police that a man, aged in his 50s, has been assaulted in a house in the Ballynahone Crescent area. Officers attended and arrested two men, aged 40 and 53, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Two Men Arrested Over Serious Sexual Assault
Two men have been arrested after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted in Co Down. The attack occurred in the Bangor area in the early hours of Saturday morning. The suspects, both aged 23, were detained after officers stopped a car on the Seacliff Road in Bangor on Monday afternoon. The vehicle was also seized for examination.
