Man assaulted by gang of five

Police in County Antrim have appealed for information following an assault in Ballymena, yesterday evening.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital after being attacked by up to five males, close to the Larne link Road, near the Ballykeel roundabout, at around 6pm.

The victim sustained cuts, bruises and swelling to his head and hands, however his condition is not believed to be life threatening.

The attackers are believed to have made their escape in a silver coloured Ford Focus car with a spoiler on the rear.

Appeal Issued After Man Attacked In Ballymena
Police are appealing for information after a man sustained facial injuries during an assault in Ballymena. Three men attacked the victim in the Saintfield Place area at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, 14 March. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The men made off with a sum of money and a mobile phone.
