Woman arrested after body find

Police in County Down have arrested a woman following the discovery of a man's body at the weekend.

A murder investigation was launched yesterday, after a post mortem examination was carried out.

The victim has been named as 47-year-old Francis Gerard Saunders, whose body was found in a caravan at the Bryansford Caravan Park in Newcastle at around midday on Sunday.

Last night, police arrested a woman in Belfast, who is currently being questioned in connection with the murder.

Detectives in County Down have appealed for anyone who stayed in or visited the caravan park at any stage over the weekend to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Men Sentenced For Ballymena Drug And Money Laundering Operation

Man released without charge in Dorrian case
Police have confirmed that one of three men arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of missing 25-year-old Bangor woman, Lisa Dorrian, has been released. The 18-year-old, who has not been named, was released today without charge. Two other men, aged 18 and 23, are still being held for further questioning.
