Blast bomb defused by army experts
A blast bomb, which failed to explode, was thrown at a police station in west Belfast last night.
Police described the device thrown at the Stewartstown Road station at around 11pm as "viable but crude".
Army technical experts were called in to make the pipe bomb safe. It failed to go off after landing inside the perimeter fence and there were no reports of any injuries.

Suspicious Object Sparks Security Alert In Co Tyrone
A suspicious item thrown into a car has sparked a security alert in Co Tyrone. The object in the vehicle was reported at Innisfree Gardens in Strabane approximately 8.15am on Wednesday. A number of homes have been evacuated while army bomb disposal experts attend the scene.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At House
A petrol bomb has been thrown at a house in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. It is thought the incident happened at around 3.25am on Sunday. A car is said to have drove by a property on Station Road in Letterbreen and a petrol bomb was thrown at the house. No one is thought to have been injured in the attack.

Viable Pipe Bomb Found In North Belfast
A viable pipe bomb has been found in north Belfast, police have confirmed. Police and army bomb experts discovered the device in the garden of a house in Shore Crescent on Monday. The pipe bomb has been removed for further examination. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At Community Centre In L'Derry
A petrol bomb has been thrown at a community centre in Co L'Derry. The device was thrown at the Dove House building at around 11.30pm on Thursday, 18 August. Scorch damage was caused to the front of the building. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Blast bomb thrown at Lurgan police station
Detectives in Lurgan are appealing for information after a blast-bomb device was thrown into the grounds of Lurgan police station on Monday evening. The device thrown over the back gate of the station exploded at around 7pm, however no-one was injured and there was no damage.
