Pair held hostage in west Belfast

Between 7am and 7.15am, three masked men entered a property in the St Agnes' area of Andersonstown, and held a man and his daughter hostage, while ordering his wife to go to her place of work.

The woman was then ordered to collect a sum of money from the commercial premises in which she worked, and deliver it to a drop off point in Colin Glen Forest Park, near the Pembrook Loop.

Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed anything in connection with the incident, or anyone who may have noticed anyone in the area of the Colin Glen Forest Park/Pembrook Loop this morning, carrying a large black bag, to contact them at Grosvenor Road on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
