Three released after counterfeit goods seizure

The three men who were arrested following the seizure of suspected counterfeit goods in south Belfast yesterday, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The items, which are believed to have been worth an estimated £250,000, were recovered yesterday during a planned search operation in the King Street area of the city, involving local uniformed officers and officers from the Intellectual Property Crime Unit supported by a representative from FACT - Federation Against Copyright Theft.

The items seized included fireworks, DVDs, a wide range of clothing and footwear.

Appeal Following Theft Of Cattle Trailer In Artigarvan
The PSNI have launched an investigation into the theft of a cattle trailer from a farmyard in Artigarvan. The theft occurred on Moorlough Road sometime between 7pm on Tuesday, 23 January and 3.15pm yesterday, Wednesday, 24 January. Police are urging anyone who saw the Nugent trailer (VRM N24 EWE), or knows of its whereabouts to get in touch.
