Diamonds taken during Portadown robbery
Police in County Armagh have appealed for information following a robbery in the area yesterday evening.
At around 6pm, two masked men, who were armed with handguns and a serrated edged knife, forced their way into a property in Portadown, and threatened the home-owner, his wife and his daughter.
The thieves then made off with a quantity of loose diamonds – worth a substantial amount of money, a sum of cash, and the family car.
Both robbers are said to have had Belfast accents.
Detectives in County Armagh have asked for anyone who may have any information in connection with the incident, or jewellers who are offered diamonds under suspicious circumstances, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

County Armagh man dies following road accident
A County Armagh man has died after he fell from the back of a jeep in County Louth. Stephen Rice, aged 27, from Crossmaglen, died in hospital following the accident which occured at around 10:30am on Sunday at Rassan in County Louth. It is understood that the victim had suffered a serious head injury after he fell from the back of the vehicle.

Armed robbery in County Armagh store
Police in County Armagh have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a convenience store over the weekend. The incident happened at around 7.30pm yesterday evening, when two-men, one armed with a handgun, entered the shop in the North Street area of Lurgan, threatened staff before stealing a sum of money and a quantity of cigarettes.

20-Year-Old To Appear In Court Over Firearms Charges
A man has been charged with possessing a firearm in Lurgan, County Armagh. He was also charged with making threats to kill and was detained following an incident in the Hill Street area on Saturday. A man, 19, was threatened, however he managed to escape.
